OUR BOYS

BOWIE GARDLEY
Hi well I'm going to let you know a little about me. I am 15 years old in the ninth grade. I enjoy playing football, basketball, track, and I love swimming. I am interested in African American studies and in the way we were brought into slavery. One of my best subjects are math and reading but I enjoy science. Many of my younger associates look up to me because I try to teach them. Some of my hobbies are traveling, running, and talking to younger people about how life is on the streets. Although I hang on the streets, I know when to stay away from things that are going on that I don't agree with. My goal in life is to give the Lord back everything that He gave to me by getting saved and following the rules He gives to every man and woman. I got to this program through Project Prevention Saturday School for boys, and if you can, will you please help out the group by making a little donation? Thank you.
ISAIAH RAINER
I would like to finish school and go to college for about four years and get some professional schooling so I can manage my own business, and be successful in life. Some of the things I enjoy playing are basketball, soccer, hockey-ball, and going to the mall. This PROJECT PREVENTION program is for the young people and it helps us in many ways. Some of those areas are reading & writing and math. We also do field trips on every 4th Saturday. We've gone to Canada, Victoria, Marine Science Center, Snoquamish Museum and other exciting places.
JESSE RODGERS
My name is Jesse and I play football. My favorite positions are tackle, running back, and tight end. I like the Buffalo Bills, 49ers, and the Cowboys. I also like basketball. The positions that I like to play are center and power forward. When I get older I hope to play for the NBA or NFL. If I don't make it, I would like to be a nation guard. Most of all I hope to live a healthy life. Some things I would like to do are meet Shaquille O'neal or Penny Hardaway. Another thing I would like to do is travel in parts of the world. I go to Bremerton Jr. High and I'm in 8th grade. I Like PE and math my grades are about a 3.0. Project Prevention is a very good program, it helps to let us know about things I didn't know before.
JONELL HODGE
My number one hobby is football and basketball. My hopes are that people that are prejudice will not be anymore and that we all can live in peace and harmony. Most of you that Trust in God, you should know that God is with you 100 percent of the way so whenever you need someone you can turn to God for some help. He always will be with you, so do what you think is right.
KENT WILLIAM
I am really interested in Basketball. God that he's a friend to me. I want to be a Marine in the future. My hobby is helping people. I want live were the sun is hot, when I grow up, going to Hawaii. Saturday School for boys helps me to know what it is like being around older boys.
PRENTISS GARDLEY
Hi my name is Prentiss Gardley and I like to play foot ball. My position in football is running back and I average ten yards a carry. So I guess I could say I'm pretty good. Now let me you a little about my self. I'm 14 and I go to school at Fairview jr. high. When I grow up I would like to be a football player and if that don't work out I would like to be a business man. I have two sisters and three brothers and we all got a goal in life and it is to survive meaning keep our life together and some times that's hard when you don't got a dad there to guide you in the right direction. But that's something I got to deal with and I'm not gonna let my Dad stand in my way. So let me get back on school. I'm in the 8 grade and I get pretty good grades so hopeing that I become something with my Mom's help. So that's all I have to say bye.
ROBERT K. J. HODGE
I'm single and I like football and basketball, and like to build models. I play tight-end and play for TRACYTON. I'm in the fifth grade and average 6 out of 10 shots in basketball. My favorite teams are Dallas Cowboys and the Bulls. I also like space age stuff and history. I'm with the Rights of Passage class and I'm 10 years old. I get good grades. When I grow up I want to be a football player.
RYAN RAINER
My name is Ryan I like to play Basketball, Football, and Wrestling. I like to go to the movies and I hang out with my friends just basically playing sports all the time. I have about a 3.0 in school right now I'm focusing on passing high school. After school I plan on going to the Air Force and I want to get money from there so that I can go on to college and my study will be in black history and mathematics. Then I plan to join the police academy and I plan to just go from there and I want to work and become a detective just like my uncle Dwain. He's really important to me and ever since I was a little boy I have always wanted to be a police man, and when I heard that my uncle was one that just made me want to be one even badder, so I guess you can say that I'm following in his foot step's. What I like about Saturday School is the math because I like the help and It's a lot of fun. We start out by having breakfast together and then we move on to the community center. We do reading comprehension and we learn more and more when we come each time. We have some really nice field trips and I really enjoy it a lot. It's something to do on Saturday and It keeps you out of trouble.
